What can repel
that rampant malady:
fanatic savers of the wild, who`d
grind
all men from earth`s unbroken
ground;
but for the winged,
finned, pawed they
chant their plea
with starving peoples`
cries unheard. Behind
their thronged wild-fetish
aims--avowal-bound,
hogtied, their judgment warped,
their brains unsound--are snails, owls, panthers
worshipped, men maligned!
"Human encroachment! Animals'
domain!
"Dumb beasts," they sob, "are
victims of mankind!"
But sapience can stem such
entropy:
To save our earth from their
frenetic bane--
to save our earth for human
right--the sane
must not let die a dogged
apathy!
