Poems of Charles L. Prazak

My father passed away on March 1, 1997. He taught English at J. Sterling Morton High School (East and West) from the early 1940s until he retired in the seventies. He also taught english as a second language at Morton College.

His greatest love was reading and writing poetry. He left a large repertoire of original poems, some good and, maybe, some not-so-good. Some have been published in poetry magazines, and he has won several awards for his work.

He died before we could get him connected to the World Wide Web where he could offer his works to the general public so, I will publish his works on this site as a memorial to him.

The structure of this site will change from time to time as the content grows. For now, I will use a simple table of contents with links to the individual poems.

The first poem is sort of an introduction to the collection, which describes my father's purpose in writing poetry.

Thank you.
